The decline of VH1 Classic

Mike...
VH1Classic is turning into VH1, and that's not a good thing.
VH1Classic used to rock, they showed videos all the time (cooled themed
shows like "We are the 80's", "Classic/Current", and a show that played
hard rock videos), broken up only by showing occasional concerts.
Lately they've taken to showing movies and countdowns. A couple nights
ago they played Footloose, and last night it was the MC Hammer Story.
Why can't video channels just stick to videos and concerts??

S1500...
That's one reason why I ditched digital. I used to be addicted to VH-1
Classic since they played tons
of obscure 80s videos I've never seen before. Then they went mainstream
music. Then videos stopped.
They went belly-up, video-wise, just like MTV did. Sad, really. I got
into some artists(d/l them on Soulseek) from seeing them on Vh-1C.

Jude Cormier...
glad I no longer have the channel to witness its pathethic dumbing down

(VH1 itself has gone totally down the drain. They are showing nothing
this week but "America's Next Top Model" episodes, and after that it'll
probably go back to showing Flava Flav 23.5x7. Uh, yeah.)

Oh well, maybe I should just be glad I even get VH1Classic as a lot of
cable systems apparently don't carry it.

Lava...
I like the videos myself. Maybe ratings are saying that shows like MC
Hammer and such popular. And I have no idea where the ANTM stuff comes
from.

LidsvilleNine...
Just watch The Tube. VH1 doesn't seem to be getting the message.
