I'll be in the area this weekend and want to watch the Giants game (no
comments about how pathetic they are; I'm well aware) but the listings
don't show any local channels carrying the NFL Network feed. Can that
be true? I would've thought that they're considered a local team.

I'm pretty sure the NFL's broadcasting policy applies to the teams' home
markets only, so only one station in the NYC market can rebroadcast the
game.
When the Giants have played on ESPN in the past, has that game been carried
on an Albany station?

I'm sure you can find some degenerate sports bar, race track, otb that
will have it on. Or just record it for when you get home, its not like

Thus forming holiday memories I'll treasure always.

If you want memories to treasure from your holiday I would say spending
it in Albany is a bad way to start things off.

I'm not spending it in Albany. I'm spending it in the Albany AREA.

You really do want to get out into the broader Albany metropolitan
region, since it can get pretty wild by the Kinko's off Empire State
Plaza, and take in a safer spot like Watervliet. Not the downtown parts.

you don't altreay know the outcome.

If they end up scheduled to play the Eagles in the playoffs I'll bet
you'll be sweating it out.

The saddest sports city in America pinning their hopes on Jeff Garcia.
There's no way that I can see this ending badly. I really can't.

Thanks. I'm in Clifton Park visiting my sister. She has weird ideas
about how to raise her kids, like without cable, so NFL Network isn't
an option even if TW carried it. And getting out to a bar won't be an
option. So I guess I'll listen to the radio, at least for the first
quarter or so until they start blowing the game.

Is that the rule? Pretty dumb rule.
