On the show "Dancing With the Stars" the vote off is decided by combining
the judge's scores with the audience vote to decide who gets voted off and
who gets to stay. I would like to know if it is better to pick your favorite
disregarding the judges votes OR note who the judges like least and who you
like least and then vote for the two people you like next to least and vote
for them, doing it this way rather than voting for your favorite which is
often the judges' favorite as well. With my strategy I can be fairly
certain the judges votes alone will carry the favorites over to next week
and by voting for your next to least favorites instead you are more likely
to influence your very least favorite gets voted off. Some of my friends
like my strategy and others think you should only vote for your absolute
favorite without giving any thought at all to your least favorite.
This week my least favorites are George Hamilton, Tatum O'Neal, Jerry Rice,
and P. Miller. My thinking is to vote for the two whom I think are least
likely to make it to next week to help ensure that at least one of them does
make it back next week -- doing this instead of voting for my two
favorites -- Drew and Stacey -- because with their judge votes of 27 and 29
it's a pretty safe bet they will make it back make even if no one in the
audience votes for them.
I am asking here because my friends that think I should be voting for the
ones I like best and whom they like best too, so they are peeved with my
strategy but I think it makes a lot of sense. What to you think?

Why is P. Miller on the show if he doesn't want to be there? This BS

Don't know. He said it's a hood thing. He wants to show his homeys you don't
have to know how to dance to stay in a dance competition until the judges
votes combined with the popular vote are no longer enough to keep your feet
on the dance floor. I think his Lucky Shoes may just prove to be his
ultimate undoing but I am not going to give the impression I am biased in
any way so I am not going to say which one of the four I mentioned is
actually my least favorite.

Well, I missed the first show. I live in the SF Bay Area, so Jerry
Rice is why I watched the show this time. My Mom really enjoys the
show. Anyway, the 2 couples I didn't like were Tatum O'Neal and P.
Miller.

I like Tatum. So my Internet vote and 7 telephone votes go to Tatum. Two
telephone votes go to Drew. He should win and I try to keep Tatum a little
longer.
