To me, he's Sgt. Rizzo from M*A*S*H.

I watched the marathon of season 1(?) on TNT and it left me
unimpressed. I like the main character, but everything else from the
side-characters to the plot, feel extremely mind-numbingly

Ordinary.

Nothing special about this crime show. I'd rather watch L&O SVU or
Criminal Intent. Or read a book.
