BSG webisodes = poor acting & nobody actors

The other Eric...
Not unless you have some kind of proof that BSG set out to make
webisodes that were better than Eureka's. If you have some kind of
interview that states so then they didn't reach their goal. Otherwise
it seems that you are holding them to a standard they were never
intended to meet.

The other Eric...
So far I have only seen two characters in the BSG Webisode that were
not in the regular show.

The other Eric...
This is subjective, a matter of opinion and there is quite a bit of
disagreement.

The other Eric...
Nope. Art by its nature is hit and miss. However nobody is stopping
you from writing a check to sponsor next year's webisodes. Maybe you
should mail in your resume and offer to direct.

cloud dreamer...
Heard you the first time. And the second...doesn't change the fact that
2 million people disagree with you.

videonovels...
I repeat myself because you don't listen. This is the THIRD time I've
asked this question, and still you have not given a response? Are just
pulling numbers out-of-your-ass, and therefore do NOT have a source?

- "Where is your source that 2 million people watched (and enjoyed) the
Galactica webisodes?"

cloud dreamer...
I gave you the answer. Look back. You'll find it.

cloud dreamer...
JHC man...pick a name and stick with it.

And 2 million people still disagree with you.

videonovels...
Source?

Source?

Source?

You're pulling numbers out of you ass, and have no source to back you
up. Hey look, I can make-up numbers too! "100 million people said
sci-fi is trash." ;-)

Give me a source. Else stop making up numbers.

The other Eric...
My argument is valid period. Repeating something false does not make
it true.

The other Eric...
These are all subjective opinions - except for the part where you claim
we have never seen Duck. He was the one banging on the bulkhead when
Dee and Apollo had locked the door. Apollo tells him to hit the
showers.

The other Eric...
Do you have a source that proves that was their goal? Otherwise it
seems that you are holding them to a standard they were never intended
to meet.

These are extras - easter eggs. Trust me on this. The Webisodes were
not intended for the people who complain about everything.

The other Eric...
No, the stars are just the people you see on the cover of the DVD box.
Callie is on par with Duck.
The New Galactica webisodes - Downloaded from Scifi.com's streaming
channel.

I feel like I'm watching MyNetworkTV... but worse. The acting is very,
very poor. And the main protagonists are some guy and his wife who
I've never seen before... probably actors culled from some daytime

The other Eric...
It isn't the crew's fault if you were not paying attention. Duck is
one of the pilots we see in 2.5.

The other Eric...
It isn't the crew's fault if you don't care. However Tigh, Tyrol and
Callie were in the webisodes as well. They have been around since the
mini so even the points you raise here are false.

jayembee...
While none of the core characters (Adama, Roslin, Apollo, Starbuck)
are in the webisodes, I'm seeing a fair amount of Tigh, Tyrol, and
Callie, not just new characters we haven't seen before.

soap.

YAWN.

Nice try Sci-Fi, but I did not like the results.

Yousuf Khan...
We've seen all of those characters before on BSG. For sure, minor side
characters when they were shown before on the main show, but you can't
say we've never seen them before; go review the season 2 episodes again

jayembee...
Colonel Tigh, Chief Tyrol, and Callie aren't "minor side characters".

if you have to, the DVDs are now out. We're going to see a lot about the
main characters when the season starts, the webisodes are their chance
of showing details & characters we'd normally never get to see during
the course of a season.

The webisodes might very well also be small acts from some of the shows
we'll see this season.

jayembee...
Doubtful. Though it's certainly possible that clips from them might show
up as brief flashbacks in Season 3 eps.

The other Eric...
Maybe you should demand a full refund.

videonovels...
.

Unfortunately there's no way to refund the ~30 minutes I wasted. (Time

The other Eric...
True, but we can find the guy who put a gun to your head and made you
waste all that time. Then we can arrest him and make him repay his
debt to society. After all there was a guy with a gun to your head,
wasn't there? You wouldn't complain about something you chose to spend
your time on of your own free will? It's not like you could down load
one and then decide to not down load the rest.

is valuable too.)

I thought the Eureka webisodes were better... they used the core actors
to tell the story. In contrast, the New Galactica episodes used a man
& woman I've never seen as the central characters. And they can't act.

The other Eric...
At your birthday party do you complain that your gifts are too cheap?

Anim8rFSK...
You think anyone has ever gone to a birthday party for Troy?

David B...
That's probably why he lashes out the way he does.

Anim8rFSK...
Or vice versa.

The webisodes are a gift to the fans. Would you look a gift horse in
the mouth?

cloud dreamer...

AstroNerdBoy...
I disagree. These are only tiny shorts and so there's not a lot of
time to do much. However, I have felt that with the small amount of
time given, they've done a good job of telling a story and giving a
glimps of life under Cylon occupation.

Which reminds me, I need to watch last Thursday's episode...
2 million people disagree with you.

videonovels...
Where did you get that 'fact'?

cloud dreamer...
From a Time magazine article on the show.

.

JEDIDIAH...
You could say the same thing about grocers that sell rancid
shrimp, malware infested system software and cars that implode at
60K miles.

videonovels...
Heh. That's assuming there are 2 million people. I doubt it. 200,000
would be more believable as the number of people downloading these
webisodes.

jayembee...
I find them interesting, but hardly essential.

Spaz...
No problem. The show will continue to be a great success without you.
