CW is airing Sunday comedies tonight (monday). So I guess 7th
Heaven/Runaway is taking a 2-week vacation.

Yes, both dramas are off tonight and will return to the schedule
October 15 in their new Sunday slots.
|
I wonder how this way affect 7th Heaven's high (for cw) 3.0% ratings?
evwill...

..against Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Sunday Night Football, The
Amazing Race and eventually The Simpsons and American Dad. I'm thinking
the ratings will tank.

You're probably right. And not only with 7th Heaven plummet from 3.0
to ~2.0 ratings, the CW Comedies will get smashed by CBS' Monday
comedies. Comedies vs. comedies... cbs will win.

Um, UPN did quite well (as a 'niche') with its comedies on Mondays. UPN
certainly did better with them that The CW is doing now.
I personally think The CW is turning out to be a complete disaster, when
even their sitcom ratings are down, down, down...

As has been explained SEVERAL times by Multiple people, the CW's analog
coverage & basic-cable coverage is 10-15% LOWER than the old WB.

.
WB had 91% analog coverage (92% with the digital sub-stations). CW has
dropped to 83% analog. Minus several cable companies refusing to carry
it on basic-cable, which lowers it to 80%, perhaps as low as 75%
coverage.
You think a drop from 91 to ~80% of the nation is NOT going to have an
effect?

Naturally it's going to have lower ratings when many viewers (raises
hand) can't watch it.
Please go back and re-read that last paragraph a couple times.
Has it sunk in?
Good.

Eh, I don't buy that explanation, or the "people are still looking for
the new channels" theory. I think there's something more going on here.
Something that spells "DOOM!!" for The CW...

I wonder if Fridays would be a good night for comedies? CW could move
Smackdown to Saturday or Sunday, and leave 7th Heaven on Monday.
Barnabas Collins...

Of course the CW can put wrestling on Mondays.....against
Wrestling on Mondays on USA.

I think it's UPN business as usual for the new CW television network.
Those who want to watch a block of black sitcoms will tune into CW.
'7th Heaven' is only doing 13 episodes (would have gotten a full season
order if ratings were good), so I would expect reruns anyway.

7th Heaven is done... over... toast... the mere fact that they switched
it to Sundays means TPTB even admit that 7th Heaven won't run another
season after this one (it may even be mercifully cancelled before this
season's over, which is actually what I'm guessing is going to
happen...).
I didn't even hear about the night switch until tonight, and I just had
a good laugh about it. Buh-bye, 7th Heaven... been nice knowin' ya!
