JERICHO what kind of radio-active fallout ?

Just what kind of radio active fallout if any is threatening Jericho ?
Is it the kind that lies buried between the ground as is to be found at
White Sands Trinity test site in Alamogordo New Mexico.
Or perhaps Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean, then again their is either
Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan.
Or even Chernobyl in the former Soviet Union (aka) Russia.
Which if any is the possible radio active threat that the town of Jericho
Kansas faces ?

I'm sure someone will get far, far, far, far more technical than me,
but my impression watching it is they've escaped that threat. The
fallout must have gone in a different direction or settled to the
ground before it got to Jericho, hence the rain was free of
radioactivity.

I won't get too technical either. Given what we've seen so far, there
are two possibilities.

1) They've escaped the threat so far. As you said, either the fallout
blew a different direction or it's all settled in the rain before it
reached Jericho. Doesn't mean they won't get some later though.

2) Their radiation meter isn't working. Have we seen them check the
battery? If people start getting sick, this might be the explanation.
