Continuing comparisons, cause I still find them interesting. The numbers
are based on Weekly Nielsen finals. The numbers represent viewers, in millions. UPN 2.3 2.7 2.5 15 45.8 3.05 7 16.0 2.29 22 2.81 Okay the pool is open for exactly which new episode Love, Inc. drops below 3 million viewers per new ep. The possibilities seem to be 1, 2, or 3. I don't see any way that it won't be below 3 million in 4 eps. It would have to average at least 2.8 million per ep, and it hasn't reached that for a single ep in the last 7 new episodes. Also, after the January lull, Charmed's viewership is moving back up. It also pulled over 3 million for the 9pm repeat. GG appears to show some effects of going against both Idol and the Olympics, but is still hanging in. If I had been particularly vicious, I could have thrown in the Get This Party Started ratings (0.9 million and 1.1 million for the two eps), but lets face it, it ain't worth it. Too bad UPN has already yanked it, it had a shot of getting down to a 0.5 Household rating, and at that point 0 is within the margin of error. Fox has a much better strategy this week, 24 and House on Monday, Idol and Idol on Tuesday, Idol and Idol on Wednesday, Idol and Skating on Thursday, and 24 and 24 on Friday (how'd that Skating sneak in there?). Smackdown still put the smackdown on Fox for the night, 4.8 million viewers to 4.6 million viewers. The bad news for rasslin' is that Fox is bringing two 24 episodes this week The good news is that they're repeats (2pm nad 3pm for those who care) and 24 doesn't repeat all that well. |
