On TV Land. I'm sure many people don't remember this show but it's
jayembee...

"Little known"?
Sony has put out all six seasons on DVD. And Sony is one of those studios
that's quick to abandon a series DVD release if it doesn't sell well. If
they released the entire series of SANFORD AND SON, it's because it's a
seriously great seller.

very funny. Sanford and Son. It's hysterical.

Yes, for some reason it's extremely rare to find a person who's actually
heard of Sanford & Son. It's just that rare.

Great comedy. Redd Fox (SP?) is/was a gem!
I (lonnnng ago) once attended a standup routine by him... Great timing
and ever-so-slightly naughty (heh).

I don't think it's "rare" to find people in their forties who remember
pluto...

The show is more obscure than you'd think. Once with friends I
jokingly said, "'Liz'beth, I'm comin' to join ya!", and everybody
looked at me like I was nuts.

that show. It's not such a classic that people who weren't born yet
when the show was on the air will have heard about it.

Well, somebody who's in their 20's or under at least.

Hey, I'm 30 and LOVE retro TV and use to watch it weeknights on
Cleveland's then-independent station WUAB at 11PM. My 22yo partner
watches it and loves it, but won't touch other types of retro comedy.
Guess it all depends on your individual tastes.
