on TWO of the Starz channels no less.
this is sort of . . . bizarre and interesting. In order to promote Superman
Returns, they're showing 24 hours of bad movies based on comic books. Not
for the most part the absolute worst, but certainly the ones you need to
apologize to your non comic loving friends for.
I'm not sure I see the thinking here. Are they trying to run stuff that
would make Superman Returns (or anything else for that matter) look good by
comparison? Or are they trying to run stuff they think Superman Returns
would feel at home in the company of?
Stuff like Tank Girl, Blade: Trinity, Judge Dredd, Steel, and of course Nick
Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Worst part is, I actually have it on . . .

MASOCHIST!
This is why your critiques of certain tv screenwriter / comic writer falls
flat. You undermine your own credibility with stunts like this. You
VOLUNTARILY expose your brain to the Hasselhoff of Nick Fury

What, they're not showing Flash Gordon, Batman and Robin, Captain America,
Howard the Duck, The Phantom, The Specials, Mystery Men, The League of
Extraordinary Gentlemen, Constantine, or Doc Savage? For shame...

Like he said, NOT the absolute worst.
But it's probably just for lack of time.

I'd not include The Phantom in that list; it's better than what STARZ is
showing today. This marathon is at about the LXG level, yeah.

Too bad... those of us who don't pay for Starz have little to complain
about. Have you thought about canceling Starz?

It's free. Came with the digital cable for an indefinite period of time.
Besides, I like a lot of bad movies. I'll sit here and laugh hysterically
at S.H.I.E.L.D., although I had to give up on Tank Girl. I just don't get
why you'd put together a collection of failures to promote something else in
the genre. And I don't see the common thread, if there is one; for
instance, they aren't all WB movies, which would make sense.

Is there a new Superman movie? Didn't they stop making those
