BS Galactica will be utterly rejected

Hilarious stuff now that BSG is getting raves from mainstream American
press like the Natinal Review, New Yorker, Rolling Stone, etc. Must be
a bitter pill to swallow.

Not really. The new BSG *has* been utterly rejected by the fans. We're
just not real fans (we being ABS-G), because we don't prefer the original
show and hate the new one.

Well, considering that Starbuck is now Sheba as she was originally
written (but Anne Lockhart could never have played because she was
just too nice a girl), I say, Starbuck being a girl is fine with me.

If they want a remake that uses the original storyline and characters, they
really should bankroll their own. It's like what they say about free speech and
censorship... if you don't like what someone is saying, don't try to censor it
or blot it out, go out and give your own dang speech and let it stand on it's

Universal currently owns the rights to logos and characters, probably the
ship designs as well, so they wouldn't be able to without permissions of
the rights owners. I would think with the current BSG doing well, there
would be no consideration of the alternative. If Universal were considering
a direct sequel (ignoring G '80 of course), then they would have, instead
of the reimagining.

Yeah it is funny how some people think the new one is a threat to the
old. Well the old story was collecting dust and a third try wouldn't
sell in today's market. I loved the 70's version back when I was a kid
and I love the grown up version they have now. That was the right way
to bring back Galactica.
