You just found this out? It's old news.
Indeed Canada has been among the big four; the top four suppliers to the US
for over a decade along with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Venezuela.though
Nigeria is closing in in fifth spot. Throughout the decade they have often
switched places as the numbers are close but they are far ahead of everyone
else.

I did not know and I can thank Elizabeth Vargas and the team at 'World
News Tonight' for that golden nugget of info and ask: Then why don't
most Americans show Canadians more respect treating us just a big
neighbour of the U.S. that nobody really needs to care about.

Personally I think being overlooked by the US is a positive for Canada.
Just keep selling that oil, and natgas and gold and diamonds, and coal, and
copper, and nickel, and zinc, and uranium.
