CW: I Told You So

Just because they couldn't make money doesn't make them pointless.

convince you there is a point to pursuits that aren't driven by money.

Yes, but we're not talking about any conceivable pursuit, we're talking
about a business joint-venture. This isn't PBS, it's a for-profit TV
network.

Yes but we're talking from the viewers' perspective. Whether or not
the WB makes money isn't what determines for us whether it's
pointless.

I'd like to see an out-of-the-blue restructuring of PBS.

That's true. But if the network (or networks) don't make money, they
won't be on the air anyway, which won't exactly help viewers.

I like money. It's all green, and pretty. :)

illustrating how all of their primetime programming could be easily
incorporated within the Big 4's lineups without any series losses
whatsoever. Now comes this totally unexpected news that UPN and WB
will be just that - no more - and merged into a CW network in the fall.
If they keep this up, it might soon merge into FOX and become FCW. The
TV universe is slowly but surely being guided by the hand of WQ.
