Bones

I kinda liked Bones last season. It wasn't perfect but it had
potential.

Now the new season has started and we have the new boss. Ugh. I hate
the new boss. She doesn't fit. Plus what's with the new,
touchy-feeling Hodgins? He smiles too much now. What happened to the
grumpy Hodgins?

The chemistry between the characters, which was one of the show's great
strangths last year, was thrown entirely out of kilter by the new boss.
Apparently the writers have also figured this out, based on the fact
that they've given up trying to make her fit in organically, and gave
us that awkward and self-conscious scene where she and Bones simply
agree that Bones is allowed to defy her authority three times a week. I
was surprised they didn't go all the way and say she's only allowed to
defy her on Wednesdays.

I want to see them sit down and hammer out an agreement on how 3 times
a week works. Is it Saturday through Sunday, so she can defy her 3
times at 11:50 Saturday and another 3 times at 12:10 Sunday? Does she
get to bank the defys she doesn't use?

And does that mean that any time that Booth and/or at least one of the
Squints back her up on a disagreement, that doesn't count as one of
her GOOJF (GOO-jif) cards?
