I guess they couldn't get that obscene language-spewing Irish cleaning
from lady 'Johnny Dangerously' (1984) as the high wattage celebrity they
truly wanted. *shrugs shoulders*

"Faceless," Eric Mabius is set to star opposite America Ferrera in
ABC's drama "Ugly Betty," Jaime King will play the female lead in

board Fox's comedy "Becoming Glen."
Additionally, Milo Ventimiglia ("Gilmore Girls") has been tapped to

("Freedomland") has come on board the ABC/Touchstone drama pilot "Six
Degrees."
The untitled Tina Fey project, from NBC Universal TV and Lorne
Michaels' Broadway Video, is set behind the scenes at a "Saturday
Night Live"-type show.
The setting is a familiar territory for Baldwin, who has become a
fixture on Michaels' "SNL," on which Fey stars and is a head writer.
He has hosted the late-night sketch comedy show a number of times,
most recently in December, and also made an appearance this month.
If the Tina Fey pilot goes to series, it will be Baldwin's first major
series gig since CBS' primetime soap "Knots Landing."
Baldwin, who also had a recurring role on NBC's "Will & Grace," will
next be seen in two high-profile features: Martin Scorsese's "The
Departed" and Robert De Niro's "The Good Shepherd."
He is repped by CAA.
"Enemies," from Touchstone TV, focuses on the battle between two
former childhood best friends who become sworn enemies -- one becoming
a cop, the other a mobster.
McGill will play a Chicago crime boss.
The actor, most recently seen in "Cinderella Man" and "Elizabethtown,"
is repped by Stone Manners Agency.
"Faceless," from 20th Century Fox TV and Management 360, centers on a
federal prosecutor (Bean) who goes undercover as a criminal in order
to take down a sprawling underworld organization.
"The Lord of the Rings" co-star Bean is repped by CAA and ICM London.
"Betty," from Touchstone TV, Reveille and Ventanarosa Prods., centers
on Betty (Ferrera), an unattractive but efficient secretary at a
fashion magazine.
Mabius plays the handsome son of the publisher who has been given the
editor-in-chief job at the magazine despite his lack of
qualifications.
Also cast in "Betty" is Ana Ortiz (NBC's "A.U.S.A.").
Mabius, who most recently recurred on Fox's "The O.C." and co-starred
on ABC's "Eyes," is repped by Innovative Artists, manager Geordie Frey
and attorney Karl Austen.
Based on the 2004 BBC limited series, "Worst Week," from Regency TV
and Hat Trick Prods., chronicles a young engaged couple's hellacious
week leading up to their wedding.
King, who co-starred on Fox's "Kitchen Confidential," will play the
bride-to-be.
Whitfield (CBS' "The Guardian") will play the groom's best friend. He
is repped by Stone Manners.
"Becoming Glen," from 20th TV, centers on a successful fortysomething
man who looks back at 1994, when he was a 32-year-old slacker (Rob
Corddry) living with his parents and spending all his time lying on
the couch watching TV.
Hagerty, most recently seen in "Just Friends," will play the guy's
mom.
