I'm the other way around, I've been known to skip the interviews
entirely sometimes.

If they're going to keep it, at least stop apologizing to the guests?

SoH is at best a waste of interview time, and at worst cringe-worthy.

It's terrible and more mean-spirited than the rest of the show.

Usually the guest doesn't do a particularly interesting job with the
question, and to me it leaves the interview on a sour note.

Yes.
I love TDS & TCR, but the "Seat Of Heat" is a dud (for a show that's been on
10 f# @king years - this is one of the very few dud segments - TDS PTB*, let
it go).

The questions are funny, but the answers (if any guest actually plays along)
are usually a waste of a minute that could be spent better elsewhere.

* - TDS PTB = The Daily Show "Powers That Be" = Producers.

I agree. It probably sounded good in the abstract but it's not
much fun to watch.
