My UPN, now MNT station is not showing two times a day. Grand Rapids
only gets the 8 p.m. showing, while the daytime is still filled with
syndicated talk & judge shows.

In NY they're being rerun from 11 to 1 am.

(double-checks) Nope, no late-night showing either. "The X" as this
station is called, has been a UPN affiliate for years. Their schedule
is booked-solid with reruns of old shows like Cosby, A Different World,
and so on.

Back home in Philadelphia PA, WB-17 aka MyPHL is showing reruns at 3
p.m., 8 p.m., and 1 a.m. WOW. (Talk about overkill.)

Here in NH/northern MA, WZMY-50 is showing a different local schedule:
Fashion House at 9 PM, not 9:01 PM. And they're only showing Desire and
Fashion House in the evenings, not in the afternoons.

For those local stations that are showing the extra minute of Desire,
they probably either added back a minute of extra footage or an extra
couple of commercials, to force viewers to miss shows starting on the
hour on other channels. The hope is that then you'll have no choice but
to stick with MyNetwork rather than change channels.

Last season, "Lost" routinely ran extended episodes first-run, by
including a couple of minutes of extra footage. Which would get cut
when the episode was rerun in a one-hour time slot.
