Why would you not know that line? It's the TITLE OF THE SONG.

They probably couldn't get the rights to use the song with the lyrics
"'Excuse Me While I Kiss This Guy"
Default User...

How about "There's a Bathroom on the Right"? I like that one.

Or Fleas on my dog. (Feliz Navidad)
|
|
|
And plus: if the phone is a normal mp3 player, the title even comes
up.
Repeating lines from popular songs with the wrong words can be a very
funny bit... and there are probably hundreds of songs you can do this
with ("Hold me closer, Tony Danza..")-- so WHY would the producers of
senna...

huh??
The point is Americans cannot make smart, funny, clever, satirical ads.
They have to dumb everything down and sometimes EXPLAIN the "joke",
because most Americans are imbeciles.
These ads do not "work" if you have an IQ that's more than 2 digits.

Do any adds work on people with more than 2 digit IQs?

Which song is this? That line doesn't make me think of any real song
lyrics, although that might be just because I don't know the song.
Dale Hicks...

"Tiny Dancer", Elton John, as someone else has mentioned.

LOL! That didn't occur to me.
I didn't see the other post, becuase I just started reading this
thread today.

Re: Rock the Casbah - it always sounded to me like they were saying "Lock
the cash bar". Which made perfect sense to me, as long as I didn't listen
to the rest of the song.

this ad purposely dumb this down and make it completely unfunny?

|
So... you think it's not kosher and fundamentally you can't take
it, right?
|
What is wrong with American ad people?
Seerialmom...
|
You're right...it's not funny nor does it make sense for someone to
hear * the catbox or * the cashbox. Now had they had an argument about
Kiss This Guy...that might have made sense.

If any of you were old enough to remember when this song first came
out....the lyrics were confusing :-)
"rob the cashbox"

And it's not even The Clash's best song. Police on my Back, Clampdown,
and Train in Vain are far better.
I've seen the ad twice, now I just FF thru it. It's worse than
unfunny, now it's just insulting.

Plus, why would anyone want to lock their cat box? Where's the poor cat
gonna *go*? That's just begging to have your houseplants torn up.

I thought they said "lock the cash box" which is a little less nonsensical.

I thought they said, "stop the catbox", which makes even less sense.

I keep waiting for Mr. T to smash through a wall, like in the other
ad...whatever that is.
