I've noticed a lot of "the new episodes suck"-type posts lately. Has
the 4400 suddenly taken a dive from good to bad? (just curious)

I don't think so. I think it's reached the point all popular shows
reach where all of a sudden there's a backlash against it, compounded
by the fact that it's been off the air for a year so people may
remember it to be greater than it was.

It was better before, but i think it's gonna take an upswing..what with
isabel and all....

I'd be curious to know what about Isabelle makes you think the
show is going to get better.

That MRI scan...I think she's moving to the evil side of the spectrum
more aggressively now..

Gina who thinks Alanna's power is the best ever super power..

If yes, that might save me time as I won't need to buy or watch the
DVDs. I can skip the show the same way I skipped that Andromeda trash.

The show was garbage from day 1. Bad acting, terrible writing and
dialog.
Worthless. So of course it's still on the air while three worthy
scifis from last
year aren't.

I don't think it turned bad, as much as the focus of the show changed.
So much so, that the people who enjoyed the first two seasons with real
interest have little to no real interest in the third one.
The first two seasons are pretty nice, for those who like that sort of
theme. The third season changed actors, storylines, and conflicts,
making it an entirely different show.
I am curious if the writers changed, or someone "higher up" told them
to add things to promote more viewership.

A major part of what I enjoyed at first was the variety of stories and
variety of talents the 4400 were showing up with. The instant-adult bit
really annoyed me and the character continues to do so. I liked Lily!
And now it's so one-track soapy 8-( I like some of the remaining
characters, but the variety is gone.

I've watched them all and I can honestly say I've rarely looked forward to a
series return that turned to trash faster than The 4400.

The #1 way shows mess up is unnecessary casting changes. I could
probably list at least 2 dozen shows that went down this way, if I took
some time to think about it.
In "The 4400's" case, I think the unnecessary casting changes must have
been combined with changes on the writing staff.
But, yeah - "The 4400" is officially off my "Must See" list. I ended up
watching a movie on Lifetime with A.J. Cook instead last night, and I
don't miss "The 4400" at all.
