3.0. Again, liked it despite myself. Is Nim the best done CGI special effect
ever on network TV, or what? Heck, if it wasn't for Gollum, I might be
tempted to add movies to that as well. *

Once you've played with even a low-end rigged CGI model, it's impossible
not to look at a CGI and not see where the 'wires' are. The Surface people
did exactly the right things with Nim - kept him out of the foreground as
much as possible, used all the tricks in the book to substitute him for
something real when they could get away with it, and when the DID need to
do a closeup, went absolutely nuts on the details. It's emmy-worthy work. *

P.S. On the other hand, they seem to have forgotten to include two extra
legs.

For TV, Nim is probably best but it can't compare with Yoda for movies.

I am forced to give this two ratings:

If it was a Season Finale, then 4.5

Fast paced, lots of action, Rich and Dr. Daugherty finally meet up with
Miles and Nim.

If it was the Series Finale, then 2.8

Insufficient closure to end the series.

Gotta say these writers are imaginative though: A subway train that
runs underground and under ocean, from North Carolina to the Marianas
Trench.

5 stars hands down. I have never been so enthralled by a show that jumps
it's own shark multiple times per episode without apology and I love it! I
guess it's the "cheese" in cheesy old sci fi that we lost when technobabble
'reality' took over in Trek TNG etc.

4.75 for me, probably the best Surface score I could ever expect to
give.

I thought everything gelled really well together. The town evacuation
seemed realistic (even down to the suspicious kid that ended up
stealing the Vespa), and I was rooting for Miles and his girlfriend
the entire time.

Overall I enjoyed the whole episode. Best of all, Miles finally got
to meet up with Laura and Rich.

All I can say is they better bring it back next season so we can get
some resolution!
