Was Windfall really cancelled? Bad move!

Several blogs and forums claim that "Windfall" (Thursdays, NBC)
has been canceled. New episodes are still being broadcast,

This whole run has just been a summer burnoff of a show that stopped
production a while back.

I'm just holding out for all of the filmed episode to be aired.

Knowing NBC like I do, we probably won't even get that...

though. It's not Shakespeare but I find it highly entertaining.
Sure, they cut and dodge a lot of mini-stories into one hour but
I think the pacing is great.

Never before has a series explored the probable lives of Lottery
winners (something I dream about a lot in my bland job). I think
the sub-plots are realistic synopses of what could happen to
average folks. The plot with the fugitive guy, the hot sisters
and the shady lawyer is suspenseful stuff.

Who are these generic Nielsen families, deciding our viewing
fate? Will they at least run Windfall to the end of the season
and tie up some endings?

I like this show, and wish it could continue into the fall, though I
know it isn't supposed to run past summer. If they cut it off before
this summer run is over, though, I will have a very hard time watching
anything on NBC ever again.
