Letterman is still on the air? I remember watching that show when I was
in college, over 20 years ago. Dave must be, what, 80 years old by now?

Did Dave start performing when you were in college?
That could imply you are 80 years old also.
Dave entered TV broadcasting after graduation from college.

band leader came to the screen several times. What was that all about? Does
this happen frequently?

It's never explained. It's hilarious.

I don't get it. Why is that funny?

I see. Well, if you get a chuckle out of things you don't understand then you
must be laughing 24 hours a day.

Who cares Leno's more entertaining these days anyway.

Outside of Jaywalking and Headlines -- neither of which depend on Leno
for their humor -- Jay's not funny in the least. It's like watching
paint dry.
Now Craig Ferguson, he's a breath of fresh air. Best late-night
monologues ever, including everyone in the history of the medium.
Robert...
|
I never heard of Craig Ferguson.
Barry Margolin...
|
He's the guy on right after Letterman. Prior to this, he was best known
as a regular on the Drew Carey Show, where he played Drew's boss.

Drew Carey Show? Never heard of it.
Is Drew Carey a character or an actor?
Barry Margolin...

Do you watch American TV?

I think that night was the first time, as with many other
Letterman/Conan tricks, it usually means nothing, showing abnormal and
weird stuff is just a easy way to mess with your head and make the show
a little more interesting, because people always love to watch weird
stuff.
Barry Margolin...

They did it a couple of times last week, they'll probably run it into
the ground during the next few weeks.
They've been doing lotz of bizarre things like this lately.
Barry Margolin...

Yes, the show has definitely taken an absurdist turn in the past month

Oh yeah. Fake guests, contestants, even a fake remote. And Sue Hum!

What was the fake remote?
