This is the first time I have bothered with this vote.
It gets a 4.83. In my mind one of the best, if not best, episodes so far.
I definitely will be re-watching this episode 3-4 times to get all the
subtlety. The show appears to be finally starting to explore the

I give a 4.5 only because they packed to much in. Ron Moore as always =
said that Baltar was on a spiritual journey and that he will take three =
steps forward than two back and he show cased that tonight.

I wasn't too impressed, but I don't think they did anything
particularly *wrong*...
Roslin simply *had* to be cured. I see only two main alternatives: One,
that they artificially prolong her illness for far longer than her
prognosis indicated was likely, which would have gotten lame after a
while, or two, that they made Baltar president, which IMO would have
been the absolute worst possible decision (for the show as well as for
the colonials). That the "miracle cure" is not only plausible (given
Cylon genetic engineering or technology or whatever) but has
interesting character and plot implications makes it stomachable to me.
At least it wasn't a throwaway device or something...
I'm wondering how Pegasus-Six found the Cylon sympathizers... The
events of the previous episode (i.e. Six's escape from the Pegasus)
couldn't have happened more than a couple of days ago, considering the
usual episode-to-episode timeline, barely enough time to seek out a
fringe group like that. Or did Baltar know about the sympathizers?
After all, he did tell her in the previous episode that he knew
somewhere safe for her to go. At the time, I didn't think anything of
that line. I'm confused, since I don't remember any previous
indications he would have had any contact with such a group. I'm hoping
the connection is revealed soon.
I had trouble believing Baltar's reaction to Roslin's letter. Baltar
has shown far too little self confidence to have that much of an ego...
What she said didn't seem all that harsh anyway, or at least had a
positive tone to it...
I'll give it a 2.5. Somehow disappointing, but not terrible either.

Having Laura cured by the baby's blood felt a little Deus Ex Machiny
but otherwise a powerful and moving episode.

Aw heck, "no boom today, boom tomorrow" is SO mid-80s!

I give it 4 stars. It was really good. It doesn't get 5 stars though
because it felt more like a montage episode and didn't have any good
single unifying theme. It would be a terrible watch, for example, for
anyone who wasn't already following along in the series.

4.5
I'd have given it a 5 but they only smacked one hippie peacenik around.

3.5 stars. Excellent acting, some good characterization and contemporary
issues tackled on this one.

1 star.
I would have gone for zero, but that would make
it comparable to that lame "The Farm" episode
and it wasn't quite that lame...
For the first 20 to 30 minutes, I thought it was better
than the previews had led me to believe, what with
the look on Gaius's face when someone reminded
him that when Roslin died he would become President.
And there was an interesting contrast between
Roslin still being rational at times even with her life
"flashing before her eyes" vs. Gaius's loopy interaction
with his Invisible Electric Girlfriend. So I was
thinking maybe 4 stars...
...then it tanked just like today's stockmarket.
The amazing miracle Cylon/human baby blood that
cured Roslin. That deserves a Carlos Mencia
"Dee Dee Dee award". (Deduct 2 stars right there.)
Then Gaius having his little hissy fit when reading
Roslin's letter and sending his nuclear weapon
to Gina. (Another star deducted.)
And I ended up missing the original Baltar who
even when the storyline tanked at least looked like
he was having a grand time chewing scenery.

3.5
It wasn't a gripping, grand adventure like the Pegasus
arc, but it did set up lots of possibilities for upcoming
episodes: Adama's still ambiguous feelings towards
Boomer; Boomer's frustration and anger at her treatment;
Baltar's frustrations with everyone and his ambiguous
feelings about his place and loyalties; Rosslin's little
memory flashback of Baltar; a peace movement led by
a mad Cylon; that comment about how the Cylons use
to be slaves (I for one think the whole Cylon rebellion
thing could be made into an extremely interesting bit
of background history -- why DID they rebel?) It can't
always be about blowing up things real good.

-0.5 for nanotech, but not because it wasn't inevitable.
Roslyn knows about Baltar.
"weeks ago" places the timeline somewhat.
The Nuke enters the picture again. Oh, and, ah, whups, Baltar manipulated
by the Dominatrix Six again. Oh, and again. Oh, and again. Oh, and it turns
out she's corporeal (big surprise :) Nice tech. So what's special about
Baltar that she can put images directly into his head, and she can't do it
with, say, Adama, or Starbuck, or Marine #247, or... well, if she *can*
then there's no struggle :)
Saboteurs aboard Galactica, cult members or Cylons? An Admiral's life is a
busy one, Adama.
Roslyn is now a Cylon, previous history or no. From Sharon's look across
the conveniently close-to-the-floor placed plexiglass, Sharon understood
that as well.
Anyone want to argue that Adama and Laura aren't in love? Speak up now, so
I can stomp on you. Hell, even Helo sees it, and he's pretty dense for the
most part.
If the shell casings were fragile enough to break in the Chief's hands, how
would they survive their journey thru the loading tubes? Or for that
matter, stay linked when they were handled?
Lots of nuances, too many to absorb. My finger itches for the left arrow :)
Real Soon Now....
4.5-4.99 stars.
