"DESPARATE HOUSEWIVES" - Applewhite's being written off

E! was just saying that the Applewhite family is moving out of the
neighborhood.
The actor who plays the 'normal' son said he was upset because they
[Applewhite family characters] were being minimalized in the show.

Producers said the reason is because they have too many cast members.

PERSONALLY - What little scenes those actors did have, were zzzz boring.
Nothing to catch my interest.

I can't say that I'm not glad to see their characters and storyline go.
They do have too many characters and the big secret back indeed did
not pan out the way many had hoped. When it was all revealed, I just
thought, "ok. Now what?"

If the producers had to get rid of anyone, I think they were the best
choice to get rid of. My suspicion is that at the end of last season
the producers and writers had all these great hopes and desires for this
secret family that moves in. I can only guess what must have happened
when they actually started to brainstorm for those characters. My guess
is that what they came up with was the best idea they could think of
that seemed to work. The only problem is that once they started writing
and shooting those scripts, they were stuck with it when they realized
it just didn't work.

I started ff'ing them a few weeks ago. I'm glad they're gone.
