I'm sitting & watching the "live" replay of September 11, 2001. FOX
NEWS wins.
- Fox was the first to show the tower collapse at 10 a.m. (CNN was
showing a talking head & the announcer didn't notice the collapse until
~10:05.)
- Fox was first to get on the ground & start talking to
firemen/observers who explained how the collapse happened & covered
them with dust/smoke/debris (CNN had a long-distance helicopter view,
and a talking head saying he's not sure what happened).
- Fox showed a complete video record of that day (CNN had several 'we
lost the videotape; we apologize' pauses in the coverage)
.
I didn't have FOX News back in 2001, but now I'm seeing what I had
missed the first time around with my CNN-only coverage. I wish I
woulda had FOX-news instead. It's no wonder that FOX ended-up as the
#1 most-viewed news cable channel; they are clearly superior when it
comes to fast-response reporting.

FOX News was the only network that didn;t have its live equipment
destroyed.

Forgot to add:
...but to their credit, they allowed CNN et al to hook up to their
cameras and piggyback the feed for free.
