I haven't been following the Hayden hearings for CIA Director very
closely, but she is not qualified for the job. While it is said she is

So you don't have a basis for an opinion

How can you know that if you aren't paying attention?

very bright and succesfully negotiated the shark world of Hollywood,
she is still very young. Further, her film career really doesn't

qualify her for management. Does she have any budget experience?

If you don't know that, how can you know she's not qualified?

Personnel? Have her projects come in on time, on budget, and

fulfilling their original specs?

Well, I think she's too young to legally be the CIA director...but she
sure seems more qualified than the guy answering the questions...

Rhino...

Huh? Isn't she somewhere in the neighbourhood of 12 years old? Why would you
think she's applied to run the CIA?

"It's time to move past what seems to me to be an endless picking apart
of the archaeology of every past intelligence success or failure,"
*Hayden* told the Senate Intelligence Committee."
*Hayden* said would focus on traditional spycraft and reward
risk-taking among the CIA's operatives in the clandestine service. push
analysts to explain when they aren't sure of judgments, but be unafraid
of hard-edged assessments. And focus the agency's scientists, who once
built a mechanical eavesdropping dragonfly, on developing technology to
improve intelligence collection.

This is a joke right?

If you don't know that, how can you know she's not qualified?
And, what has this to do with tv?

|
She's a TV star.
Jax...

...and C-Span is televising the hearings. So there.

Panettiere is right now 16...
...and will be 17 in August. AFAIK, the DCA can't be a minor.

Those laws don't apply to the President's nominees in a time of war.

P.S. That should be "DCI" not "DCA".
Ian (I'm an ass... today. (No comments, David! No comments!!))

But, from what I hearing, she's charming the Senate panel anyway, so
maybe they'll let her slide. ;)
(Sidenote: Panettiere is actually listed in the cast of NBC's upcoming
"Heroes", so acting in that show, while being the DCA at the same time,
should stretch Panettiere really thin. I hope she's up to the job(s)!!)
