ER - why is this show still on?

I know, it must still get decent ratings but who watches this show

it's still my favourite show. As Long as Maura Tierney is still in it I'll
keep watching, she's the main thing thats kept it going since Anthony
Edwards left

It's one of my favorite shows. They have had good cast replacements,
for the most part, and I still find it interesting to watch and
certainly a lot better than some of those so-called comedies.

So what? Yes, there are always the folks who watch something because
it has a lot of buzz, and it's something that they can talk about
the next day around the watercooler. Those folks are gone now, and
the people who still watch it are the ones who still like it, "buzz"
or no buzz.

(And, for the record, I stopped watching it about 5 or 6 years ago.)
