Fox wins Tuesday with "House" reruns

House is procedural for the most part. The serialized part is minor and
really doesn't affect the medical mystery part. Viewers can pop in and out
without much of a problem. 24 is highly serialized. Each episode depends
largely on the ones before.

For whatever reason, I've never had any desire to rewatch 24 after having
seen it. I don't mind rewatching an episode of House I enjoyed.

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Fox's "House" and NBC's "Last Comic
Standing" tied for No. 1 among adults 18-49 Tuesday, and Fox took the
night in both the coveted demographic and in total viewers.

The 9 p.m. repeat of "House" averaged 9.8 million viewers and a 3.2
rating/10 share in the adults 18-49 demographic while in the same hour
"Last Comic Standing" averaged 7.4 million viewers and a 3.2/9 in the
demo, according to preliminary ratings estimates from Nielsen Media
Research.

Fox won the night in total viewers (8.5 million) and won by a nose in
the demo with a 2.8/9 compared to NBC's 2.7/8. That was accomplished by
the 8 p.m. repeat of "House" (7.1 million, 2.4/8), while NBC's case was
boosted by 10 p.m.'s "Law & Order: SVU" (8.8 million, 2.8/9).

CBS won the hour at 8 p.m. with "Big Brother 7" (7.3 million, 2.9/9),
while NBC's "Fear Factor" (5.1 million, 1.7/6) did marginally better in
the demo than ABC's "According to Jim" (5.2 million, 1.7/5).

Not doing so well again was ABC's talent show "The One," which ran

"The One" , is one of the worst produced shows, I have ever seen.
The paid talent is pathetic. And if the 10 or 11 contestants on the show are
the best unsigned talent in America we are in deep s.h.i.t.

another two hours and averaged 2.6 million viewers and a 0.9/3 in the
demo. Its last appearance Wednesday was one of the lowest-rated network
telecasts ever with a 1 rating. Better at 10 p.m. by far was "48 Hours
Mystery," which for CBS averaged 7 million viewers and a 2.3/8. "Rock
Star: Supernova," an hour earlier, brought in 6.1 million viewers and a
2.8/8.

Nightly averages: ABC (3.5 million, 1.1/3); CBS (6.8 million, 2.6/8);
NBC (7.1 million, 2.7/8); Fox (8.5 million, 2.8/9); The WB (2 million,
0.7/2); and UPN (1.8 million, 0.5/2).
