Trouble with DISH PVR

Not really the wrong group, but another one more likely to have people

My 1.5-year-old DISH PVR unit has developed an annoying habit. When I'm
watching a recorded program and I press the "skip ahead 30 seconds" button
on the remote, sometimes it will randomly jump to the beginning of the
program, or the end, or just about anywhere in between.

The "fast forward" button also has problems; about half the time, pressing
it just makes the program pause.

I tried unplugging the unit and letting it sit overnight, but that didn't
help.

Is this a known problem?

It's the new 4.11 patch. Dish has been notified and a 4.12 patch has been
released and is rolling out slowly.

Glad to hear that it's not a problem with my unit specifically. Is
there a source for more information on this patch?

Which receiver do you have? Walk up to the box and look on the lower left
side. It may say 510, 522, 625 etc...
