Oven Grilling

If it ain't all done under the broiler, it ain't even CLOSE to grillin.
Wanna grill inside, get a grill pan, in the oven it's roasting.

I use a table-top electric grill, but I'm not a real foodie.
It does the trick, though I sometimes cheat by putting the
top of my wok over the food, or a foil tent, for that Weberish
effect. I have to watch that like a hawk, so I don't burn the
kitchen down.

Isn't the broiler essentially an upside-down grill?

That's why I said, if it's ain't done under a broiler it's not even close.
The probelme iwth the broiler is that it doesn't leave the nice grill
marks.

Good point. They are harder to clean up, though.
