AOL Adds Two New In2TV Channels
Mike Shields
AOL has added two new channels to In2TV, its recently launched online
outlet for old network TV shows, most of which have been drawn from
the Warner Bros. library.
The Web network, which went live last March on AOL.com featuring six
channels housing full-length, on-demand episodes of former network
hits such as Head of the Class and Spencer For Hire, has added the
channels Gone But Not Forgotten TV and Get Real TV
Gone But Not Forgotten TV echoes the Brilliant But Cancelled
programming from the former Trio network, as it will feature network
shows that were never quite big hits. Included at launch are the early
'90s sketch series The Ben Stiller Show, the short lived Michael
Richards star vehicle The Michael Richards Show, and the 1980s cult
hit Max Headroom.
Meanwhile, Get Real TV will showcase several reality TV programs,
ranging from former syndicated hits to network failures. Included are
The Will, a CBS family competition show from a few years ago, as well
as the classic Judge Wapner-helmed The People's Court.
AOL has yet to release any audience figures for In2TV.
