Arrrggg...
CNN anchors ask this over and over to reporters in the field. "Give us a
sense of blah blah blah.." Give us a sense of so and so..; "Give us a
sense..." "Give us a sense..." Besides the gaudy graphics and pounding war
drums theme soundtracks, can't they come up with something else?

CNN, apply directly to the forehead.. CNN, apply directly to the forehead,
lol

Give us an idea of.....Give us a feeling of.... Sometimes people get

videonovels...
Frankly I'd prefer a THOUGHT on the matter. Anybody can feel
something, even dumb animals, but I prefer people who can think and use
their brains.

Arrrggg...
So, what's YOUR thought, O Mensa Master? Give me a sense.... oops, lol. My
thought is that it shows CNN to be canned news, canned music, canned
graphics. But that is typical of all televsion isn't it? Imitation, not
innovation. Not much brains out there either. Just my opinion of course.

You need to start your own TV news network and show them how to do it
right. :)

Arrrggg...
Yes, true, but my model would be so contrary to the cookie cutter format
ubiquitous to network TV I wouldn't stand a chance. :)

in a rut of using
the same phrase over and over. Need to mix it up a bit.

LOL. I think you're a soon-to-be former 24-hour news watcher. When
you can't stand how they start their sentences, there's really no hope
for you.

Seriously though, it is possible to stay informed of current events
without watching those channels. I actually think I'm better informed
than I used to be. I also like to believe that by exercising my
consumer voice and saying 'no', I'm adding to the chorus of people who
are asking for something better. Anyway, my $.02.

Arrrggg...
I can see through the facade of TV news. Everything seems canned, sugar
coated and pre-packaged for ADHD viewers with glitzy sounds and graphics,
looping over and over. 24 hours of 'news' actually appears to show perhaps 3
hours of different occuring news with endless repeating docu's, talking
heads and celebrity blather for filler. Oh, I did exercise my rights as a
consumer, I cancelled cable TV nearly two years ago. I DO get all the news I
need off the internet and international radio. This has probably made me
more critical of typical spoon fed cable news. Perhaps watching CNN at a
friend's place a few hours ago had me commenting too vociferously on the
progress of cable news and newest assault ads. :)
