Looks like the 9pm Thursday ratings battle between CBS's reigning
heavyweight champ, CSI, and ABC's young red-hot upstart, Grey's
Anatomy, will be a knock-down drag-out fight the entire TV season.
Probably the biggest battle of it's kind since Survivor vs. Friends 5
years ago.
Grey's season premiere won Round 1 in two weeks ago in a shocker (25.4
million viewers to CSI's 22.6 million) but CSI bounced back and won
Round 2
last week with Part 2 of its two-part season premiere, albeit just
barely (23.8 million viewers to Grey's 23.5 million). We'll have to
wait see
if the trend continues, or if one show ends up pulling away. Most

I think GA has decided this isn't the 'all important' battle. They are
conceding it by reshowing GA the following night and at least partly
splitting the audience.
