WEHT "Heist"?

It was shelved for sweeps, but I never saw it come back. I was starting to get
into that show. I always liked the "perfect crime" capers.

The short answer it that NBC is airing *no* 'scripted' burn-off this
Summer, so you won't be seeing "Heist" (or "E-Ring", or "Joey", etc.)
again...

It wasn't shelved for sweeps. NBC tried it at 10:00pm, and moved
L&O to 9:00pm. Ratings weren't very good for HEIST, and disastrous
for L&O. The network decided it'd rather save L&O than HEIST, so
they switched them around. In the 9:00 slot, HEIST's poor ratings
went into the toilet. NBC yanked it from the schedule after the
fifth episode. There was only one more episode to go, and they
*could* have aired it on April 26th (the week before sweeps), but
they chose not to. I doubt it'll ever get burned off.

It's always amusing to see posts like that, and it takes me a while
to recall the program.

You're right, it did simply stop airing at some point, without any
comment that I saw about it.

And with shows like that, it can be rather abrupt. They were leading
up to something, and we'll never see it all happen. A show that has
standalone episodes are fare less damaged by an abrupt end, though likely
the matter is that not enough people cared about what was going on on
the show.
