VLC is a great player. It kicks Windows, the odious spyware ridden
Real Player and Divx player's a--, isn't a memory hog either.

Video downloading is gaining steam.

Say what you will, but if not for the ILLEGAL downloading, we wouldn't
be getting the legal options now.

I'm not saying we should nec. celebrate them. HOWEVER, these companies
regard progress antagonistically. They fought against VCRs. They
hated TV shows on DVD. They hate music downloads.

In 5 years, we'll be so accustomed to LEGAL video downloads that we'll
forget how it was beforehand. and if were left in the hands of the
MPAA et al, we'd NEVER get legal video downloads.

They still need to work on the pricing models - I ain't gonna pay $3.95
for an NBA game, or $1.99 for 5 minutes of "Jay Leno".

Does that justify stealing? I think Hummers are ridiculously priced, so I
don't buy one. Should I steal one instead? I'd probably enjoy driving one
through the mud!

Now we just need to make sure we get HD vids to download!
