Hardly anything worthy was nominated in TV or film.

the program.

"Dream Girls" was nominated even before it was released.

See? The Golden Globe people don't even CARE that people know it's a
total farce now.

If the Golden Globes are for the popular shows, then it's an obvious
choice.

Yes, DH and UB are primarily comedies and GA is mostly a drama. I'd
say those categories are correct. I can't say anything unworthy was
nominated in the film category, but I will say that last year I had
seen most of the nominees and this year I haven't seen any, except for
Little Miss Sunshine and The Devil Wears Prada. I plan to see Babel,
The Departed and Dreamgirls (the only other one I was interested in was

mochaspresso...

The Departed was an excellent movie, in my opinion. Although, if I
were in charge of nominations....I would given it to Jack Nicholson
rather than Leonardo Dicaprio.

As for Dreamgirls, I obviously haven't seen the movie yet....but unless
they've dramatically changed the story line, it seems to me that the
Best Actress / Best supporting actress nominees are backwards. It's
been a while, but I thought Jennifer Hudson's character is supposed to
be the central figure...not Beyonce's.

Zodiac, but that's been delayed until next year), but for the most part
this has been a really weak year in movies. OTOH, it's been a really
strong year in TV.

they've been a joke ever since they let Pia Zadora's husband buy a
Golden Globe for her twenty-five years ago.
