Variety is reporting that, contrary to previous buzz, NBC has given a
six-episode pickup to "Andy Barker, PI", from producer Conan O'Brien.

They've turned down several of his pilots in the past so I don't think
it's that. They probably recognize that Richter has a small following
and are hoping this'll be another "Office."

I liked 'Controls the Universe (not out on DVD yet right?) and am glad
to see Richter getting another shot.

Only 6 episodes...sounds to me like they just wanted to make sure that no
other network picked up the show and made it a success.
