"Godsend"
1-22-07 Heroes

pv+usenet...
4.0. And the rollercoaster begins another run. *

Jonathan Roberts...
Gets a half-point extra for just being there again, but I'll give it a
4.0.

Tony Calguire...
This episode had a recurring theme of Heroes who had either weak or
diminished powers... Hiro, Peter, maybe Matt. So I figured that Claire was
in for a nasty surprise when she jumped off that catwalk. But she
recovered very nicely. And D.L. & Nikki didn't seem to have much trouble
with their powers.

I wonder if that means something? Something about which heroes had
weakened, and which heroes were unaffected?

5 stars (J. Christ)

0-1 stars (D. Thorn)

4.4

Really enjoyed it. Had to record the second showing cause I think Global
cut off almost ten minutes near the 45 minute mark.

jewahe...
I'm giving it a 4.

Really good job at picking up where it left off, and building toward a
new story arc.

Michelle Steiner...
On a scale of 1 to 3.2,
? (that's pi, for the impaired newsreaders)

Zombie Elvis...
Pi is exactly 3.

Paul Arthur...
Fix yer newsreader. No charset was indicated in your headers, so
content should only be us-ascii, which does not contain a pi symbol.
If you want characters in other character encodings to be interpreted
properly by other people, your posts need to include information on
which encoding is being used.

David B...
4.25, the show continues to impress.

It's a bit disappointing to lead in with a 'move the pieces on the
board' episode; I expected something more dramatic as a start for the
second half of the season. As with some of the earlier eps, the
sprawling nature of the series shows, as we're given very brief
glimpses of way too many characters. The fact we (well, I) care about
all those characters and want to see what happens to them is the
strength which counterbalances that weakness.

lurkinghorror...
The first season is going to make one heck of a DVD set. The
catchphrase for the set shall be "Bet you can't watch just one!"

DL is a bit open about his power, isn't he?

lurkinghorror...
Sort of. But was anyone watching? And it is the kind of thing that
people's brains would have difficulty comprehending> ("Did I see
that?!")

William George Ferguson...
He looked to make sure noboy (but the kid) had a line of sight before he
did it.

Did Nikki use Jessica's strength?

lurkinghorror...
That is repidly becoming the concensus

William George Ferguson...
The point of that scene was that the strength is Nikki's, not Jessica's.

It's good to see Claire being so much more proactive, instead of being
a perennial victim. I liked her recreating the events which led to her
friendship with wossname. (Zach?)

HRG and Telecop will have a reckoning...

If I was having an affair, and my husband told me "I can read minds",
my first thought would be "Oh God, does he know about the affair?"

William George Ferguson...
His wife had already confessed (because she was sure he knew), so that
won't be what she worries about, although she'll probably guess that's how
he knew. Still, it will probably freak her out.

Hiro==The Great And Powerful Turtle

I love the scenes with Hiro and his friend. Those guys are so funny!

I enjoyed every scene in this episode. This show has tons of staying
power. There are so many avenues to explore.

Garondo Marondo...
4.7 Stars!!!

I was a tad disappointed that Christopher Eccleston wasn't in more of
the episode, I really wish a certain person hadn't revealed what his
superpower was before hand because as soon as I saw him I figured out
that Milo was going to have that kind of confrontation. Maybe I'm
reading too much into it but I noticed that in Milo's premonition actor
Sendhil Ramamurthy who plays "Mohinder Suresh" there seems to be two of
him, one is serious and another is smiling as he gets out of the cap,
could be nothing.

Sorry alt.tv.heroes, you still don't exist according to the interweb.

..
Garondo Marondo!

Ken from Chicago...
Looks like they make up with more Eccleston next episode.

Brian Henderson...
4.2

It did a great job picking up where it left off and it's obviously
going places beyond "save the cheerleader".

Hiro was fantastic again, as usual.

It was nice seeing Chris Eccleston, even for just a minute. It's nice
that Peter's ability allows him to see the invisible as well as be
invisible himself. Mighty convenient.

Only a couple weeks until the explosion, what are they going to do for
a second season?

GDS...
4.5.

Did Niki snap that baton without switching personalities?

Ken from Chicago...
YES! She was surprised she could do that--just like the painter thot he

Ken from Chicago...
There is no pi listed in your message.

3.1415... is a close approximation.

Ken from Chicago...
You misspelled "approximately".

Shevek...
What, are you denying the literal truth of the Bible?

Ken from Chicago...
Do you read the original Hebrew?

How long is a cubit?

needed to get high to See.

Pythor...
It seemed to me that she WAS switching, just very quickly.

Did anyone else get the impression that Linderman has powers? The
heros seem to gravitate to each other, and they're all also gravitating
toward Linderman. We haven't seen him yet in person, right?

(alt.tv.heroes stripped because web-search doesn't like it. Sorry.)

Highlandish...
Christopher Eccleston has entered the cast as Claude, was that invisible
guy, or as Linderman?

Auzerais...
Ok, I'm a bit confused.
If Eccleston is Claude, the invisible guy in NYC, who exactly was that
guy experimenting with his hands in the desert shack?
At first I kinda thought it was suposed to be the same guy, but now I'm
not sure who he was.

sef...
That was Ted, the Human Nuke. They look a fair bit alike, because of the
beards more than anything else.

pv+usenet...
So it appeared. *

Liked this one. The story is moving along. I like Hiro and his sword
quest (Hiro and his friend really makes this show). I liked the
cheerleader, not giving up on her friend, even though he's leaving to
play Connor on the terminator series. I hope the cute FBI agent (blond
girl) isn't out of the show. Is cheer-dad good or evil and who does he
work for.

Ken from Chicago...
It would be ironic if the FBI agent was the one to spot the invisible man.

Ken from Chicago...
4 (Major Prophet?)

Nice job picking up the threads while showing there have been consequences
since last Fall's season finale.

David Barnett...
Who is D. Thorn?
Another hard to please character?

I give it 4 stars.
