DirecTV Tivo problem with season passes and wishlists

Robin Miller...
Anyone who uses a Tivo with DirecTV should consider restarting the unit.
Go to Messages and Setup/Restart or Reset System and then click
Restart the Recorder. It takes just a couple of minutes to restart, and
you won't lose any data. Apparently a bad software update has caused
problems with the program guide. I have noticed for a little while that
all my wishlists found no matches, but that didn't concern me because my
wishlists aren't that important. But today I realized that the season
pass feature was starting to drop episodes of shows, though not the
shows themselves. And mine had dropped tonight's season premiere of 24!
I timeshift almost everything, and I would have died if my system
hadn't recorded tonight's show.

Apparently, DirecTV uploaded a software fix this past Friday, but it may
take a system reset to get it to take effect.

Having experienced this problem, my understanding is that it resulted
from a change made to DirecTV's guide data that has been temporarily
reversed or modified pending a front-end fix. When new software is
installed, the TiVo box automatically restarts itself overnight.

My unit resumed recording Season Passes on its own, but it's been
suggested that a restart might expedite matters. It certainly
couldn't hurt.

Here is some information I found:
