return of new "Veronica Mars" episodes

Veronica Mars returns with new episodes on March 15.

Here is the official word directly from UPN:

"Veronica Mars is facing a lot of competition in February, so to
protect the series and to make sure that as many people as possible can
watch the original episodes, we're going to air repeats for the next
few weeks. The good news is that when Veronica returns on March 15 at
9pm, we'll have original episodes of Veronica Mars every week through
the season finale. We apologize for any past misinformation."

VM has nine episodes left this season.

Ep Guides has new VM episodes on 3-15, 3-22, 3-29, 4-19, 4-26 and 5-3.
That schedule took it to 19 episodes. So the 22nd episode under that
scenario would be in late May.

However, if they are going to run straight through, they have nine
episodes left. UPN has shown 13 out of 22 episodes. If UPN shows all
new episodes, which the bulk of them during re-run hell, the 22nd
episode would air on 5-10.

The real question is - will VM have 22 episodes this season, or has UPN
quietly trimmed the order for it?...

Lost has new episodes sked'd for 3-1, 4-5, and 4-12, according to the
latest episode guides update. So that means VM would probably coincide
with Lost for at least two, and no more than four, episodes out of the
nine new VM episodes.

If CW is smart, they'll keep VM around for S3, pair it with Gilmore
Girls, and then they will really see whether the network's grand
strategy is going to work. Plus, CW would start out with good will from
the critics. CW should at least give that obvious pairing of GG-VM a
chance.

Sounds like a plan. Of course the net execs will do something else I
imagine. They always do. The fact that the Aquaman pilot is still on the
table just about says it all imo.
