PSYCH - I lost interest fast

I'm currently residing in a hotel on an out-of-town job, so I got to
see USA Cable's Psych marathon yesterday.

I liked the show at first, but by the time I had reached the third
episode, the novelty had worn out & the jokes were no longer funny. I

nospam...

I don't think I'd enjoy watching any TV show as a "marathon".
When I've watched TV-DVDs, 2-3 episodes in a row is my limit.
And it's the same whether it's a 1-hour drama or 1/2-hour sitcom.
Have you ever enjoyed 3+ episodes of a show back-to-back???

It's the only way I watch THE SOPRANOS now. I bake enough ziti for a
weekend, and watch an entire season on DVD in two days. It's no
different from reading a good book.

Same w/QUEER AS FOLK and SIX FEET UNDER (though the food might be
different).

character (the fake pyschic) was a tool and a douchebag.

I was expectiong them to portray a likable "pyschic", not a "realistic"
one.

The promos were always clear that he was faking it.

suspect this Psych show, like USA's other show Good vs Evil aka GvsE,
won't last past two years. It relies on kitch but has little else to
offer.

True 'dat, but now I know not to waste money on the dvd when it's
released.

I'm afraid I am starting to agree--actually, I began losing
interest after about the 3d ep but am still watching hoping
that the side-characters will turn out to be enough to save
the show (so far they are not enough!) Perhaps if they add a
few new interesting regular characters they may still save
it but I am doubting it. The show is just too concentrated

would be happy to shell out $800 for the boxed set of episodes because
it was a bargain?
