Well, at least their still offering local listings, but you have to do
more navigating to find them. Zap2it.com has taken a page out of TV
Guide's book by introducing nationalized listings. Inputting one's
local zip code / area code now brings up a page of generic national
listings, instead of local area listings. While local area listings
are available by clicking on one of the options offered on this generic
page, it seems like Zap2it hasn't learned anything from how useless TV
Guide has apparently become in the U.S.
If anyone else is annoyed by this change, there is a feedback option on
the website. They would benefit from a reminder that people
(presumably) want local listings first and foremost when accessing that
part of the website. National listings and a new customized option
should be linked to the local listings, not the other way around.

I just checked and it still gives the option to use the old grid. The
new grid also allows me to pick my particular provider (ie local
listings). I don't see a difference besides the new look.

One problem I had with the new (quicker?) grid is that it is limited
to a 3 hour window. I saw no way to alter the grid to the 6 hour grid
that I use in the old format, so I'm sticking to the old grid as long
as it is around.

If you want to go directly to the old grid every time, use this link:
remove the "2" and you'll get whatever they're flogging as their "latest
and greatest".
I don't care for the new grid at all.

What is it with websites continually trying to *reduce* customer choice,

Or, it's just one or more people who have to keep making pointless
changes to things in order to make it look like the place they're
working still needs them.

And in my experience working with these people, the decisions are
implemented by people that don't use the fracking guide, and have no idea
why I'd want to print out a 5 hour span.
