In that Frosted Mini-Wheats ad, why didn't the judge disqualify that
little girl for blatantly cheating during the spelling bee when she
began to mispell "aardvark" as "A-R-D.." and then changed it to
"A-A-R-D.." at the advice of that piece of cereal on her microphone
loudly prompting her?

Well...... if she spelled "A-R-D..." and then began to spell the word
again this time "A-A-R-D..", then she's out, right? Any good spelling
bee judge should know that. No "correct".

I don't know, but if eating mini-wheats makes you trip out so much that
you're seeing talking cereal, I don't think spelling B rules are your
biggest worry.

Heh.
I was under the impression that the judge saw the talking cereal
there too.

Simply having someone prompt her would be enough for disqualification.

Ubi is technically correct (the *best* kind of correct), assuming it's
operated under rules similar to the National Spelling Bee:
10. Having started to spell a word, a speller may stop and start over,
retracing the spelling from the beginning. In retracing, however, there
can be no change of letters or their sequence from those first
pronounced. If letters or their sequence is changed in the respelling,
the speller will be eliminated.
Of course, this is a girl who thinks a piece of breakfast cereal is
talking to her, they'd probably be afraid to disqualify her even if she
spelled it with fifteen A's.

Is that what the voices told you?

Who's the boy in the Jell-O "Wiggle" commercial? The boy w/ moppy brown
hair, brown eyes and wearing a brown and white cow print shirt and beige
khaki shorts dancing next to a person in a cow costume? He's good.
