Is there anybody temporarily replacing Roger Ebert in Ebert&Roeper program
while Roger Ebert recuperates from his surgery?

An article I read last week said that they had the next several episodes -
4? 6? - already finished and ready to air while Ebert is away. I'm not sure
what they'll do if he's not back by the time they've broadcast all of those.
I assume they're playing things by ear and will figure out an alternative to
Ebert only if he is not back by some specfic date....

I honestly don't think he'll make it much longer. Ever since he got
the first one, it's been recurring.

this wasn't a recurrance. this was a blood vessel that came apart from
the previous surgery.

Dunno. Today's show was a clip show--i.e., Best Movies of
the Year so far. Didn't he say it should be relatively
minor? I suspect they are waiting to see how it goes.

Next week is the Worst Movies of the Year So Far. I would guess that he
would be back in two weeks. Still, I was surprised there were no written
reviews his web site for this weekend. I know at least 4 of the releases
had already been 'early reviewed' on the show.
