If the reports are true and Rosie called Barbara Walters a g-d lier I do
not see how Walters has any choice but to fire Rosie. If the
conversation had stayed private its one thing but now everyone knows.
It showed not only does Rosie not trust Barbara but a complete lack of
respect for her. If Walters keeps her - if she has a choice and not ABC
forcing her to keep Rosie - what does it say to all her other hosts and
employees? It tells them you can treat me with contempt and with no
respect.
Yes in life many, many employees have no respect and have contempt for
their bosses. But once you show it or say it to their face no boss would
allow for it and the person would be fired. By not firing it gives the
power to the employee over the boss.

Letterman has been calling his bosses worse than that for a couple decades.

Yes this is TVland and the entertainment world works differently but I
cannot imagine its all that different.
I think Rosie got herself fired. I do not think Barbara will let her go
immediately but I would be shocked if Barbara doesn't tell her that her
contract will not be renewed. Actualy I think Barbara is in her rights
to fire her now.
Rose crossed a line that no employee should ever cross and thats call
you boss a g-d lier to their face along with letting it out publicly.
Rosie most likely did not leak it herself but it doesn't matter we all
now know what was said and has to be dealt with as if she said it
publicly. Rosie should have said nothing.
