Day Break

Show description: "Detective Brett... will run. Then he will wake up
and start the day over again."

Uh... have the producers ever heard of the movie Run, Lola, Run?

I don't see this show lasting very long if its whole premise is
repeating the same day over and over again...how long do they expect to
carry that on?

Each season he repeats a new day. It should be easy to do that. Hopefully.

Groundhog's Day strung out over an entire season. This gimmick of limited
time span is becoming popular. 24 stretches one day out into a whole season
as well. Heroes, is only stretching about 8 days out into a whole season,
right? Any other shows messing with limited time spans?

I'm sure they did. Just as I'm sure that they heard of TRU CALLING.
And just as I'm sure that the TRU CALLING folks had heard of RUN,
LOLA, RUN.

I think the running part makes Day Break seem even closer to Run Lola
Run.

Well, I think it's that he's "on the run", not that he's literally
running. On the other hand, in TRU CALLING -- at least the pilot; I
never watched beyond that -- she *was* literally running to and fro.

What's your point? RUN, LOLA, RUN didn't involve the same day
repeating over and over again. Certainly, Lola had no awareness
of her situation resetting itself. The movie just had the same
set of circumstances repeat three times, with slightly different
outcomes each time.
