I just got (recently), the Sgt. Pepper album. I heard a lot of fuss about
Paul turning 64 and the meaning of the song When I am 64 or something. Do
you have any opinions as to the meaning of this song (other than what you
have read on the web)?

Yeah, it means the writer hopes he will have someone around to take care of
him when he's 64 years old.

Kids? If he's treated them good, yes.
Female companionship? Not in the cards.
Friends? Tons of 'em.
*Good* friends? Not too many, probably.

To me, it means Lovely Rita comes up next //;^)
