Or doesn't it matter to you?

There's not enough evidence of Paul's playing. It's a pretty easy
instrument to play competently, but as always it takes something
special to play really well. George was a great fan of the instrument
but how much is there on record? Free As A Bird and a handful of
moments on Brainwashed. All I've ever heard of Paul on the uke is at
the Concert for George.

Paul also played it during his 2002 concerts when he performed George's
"Something".

George Formby was usually seen playing the banjo-uke hybrid because it
generated more volume than a standard wooden bodied uke. Our George,
as far as I've heard, played the wooden ukulele. Much sweeter in tone,
it is however rather lacking in oomph.
Did I read somewhere that Julia played a uke and/or gave one to John
when he was young?

She might have, but I remember that story as being a banjo.
