There has been a video circulating featuring Lennon in the Hit Factory
talking about "Magical Mystery Tour" and other Beatle related things.
Was this part of the Playboy interviews? Does anybody know the exact
date on this?
BTW, thanks to the magic of digitizing...not only can I hear
practically everything that John says (there's some annoying
*videogame* sounds going on while he's talking), but I was able to
"lighten" up the picture and actually see his face rather clearly.
Before, when I just had the video, I could barely hear him and the
picture was so dark!
Anyway, does anybody have a date for this? Also, on "The Lost Lennon
Tapes", it was mentioned that Lennon was being filmed while he was
sabotaging "She's a Woman" (his band members were playing Beatle riffs
to intice John...funny stuff!). I'd like to see this video, if it's
circulating (I believe a *tiny* bit of it appears in the "LENNON
LEGEND" DVD). I'd like to hear the full session tape as well, when
Lennon starts singing some of his 50s faves like "Rock Island Line" and
stuff.

There's the story about Jack Douglas secretly audiotaping all of
Lennon's studio ramblings during the making of DF - but you're talking
about video. I think there's some stuff about that in Fred Seaman's
book.

That's not terribly out of character for J. Wasn't he the one who
instigated the "keep a 2 track running at all times" policy?
