Does anyone know if the stratocaster George H. is playng in the Concert for
Bangla Desh is the same one (formerly painted psychedelic) he plays the "I
Am The Walrus" sequence in Magical Mystery Tour? He seems really
dahldude...

"Rocky" is the Sonic Blue Strat from '65 which George repainted
psychedelically in 1967. He continued to use "Rocky" with the psyche
paint in slide guitar mode well beyond the Concert for Bangla Desh, so
no, it's a diff Strat.
Maybe the details of his collection inside a 1987? issue of Guitar
Player or the book Beatles Gear or one several Beatles guitars web
sites can offer up the source and a story on the white Strat, but right
now it's time for this boy to crash...
See if you can web-search up a site on Beatles guitars and if you come up
with something, drop us a link. Coolio?

The psychedelic one ("Rocky") is still in those colours - I forget who
George gave it to but there is a contemporary photo of it in Andy
Babiuk's book "Beatles Gear".

I saw a guitar that was allegedly "Rocky" at the Hard Rock Cafe in
Niagara Falls, Canada.

So the Bangladesh one isn't the same guitar. I'd hazard a guess that Mr
H was really comfortable with a lot of guitars!
Cheers, MK.
